  • Range is eastern half of United States
  • Most common coat color is gray, with bushy gray tail
  • Habitat includes wooded areas and yards
  • Omnivorous, eating mostly nuts, seeds, fruit, and woody vegetation, but will occasionally eat birds, small mammals, and eggs
